Why the Armadillo?
- Helps improves the comfort in the contact area of the players strumming/picking arm against the bout and soundboard area of the guitar. Thus reducing cramping, numbness, and fatigue.
- Unbreakable. Pliable rubber that is extremely durable and ergonomic.
- Easily positioned. The 2 large suction cups allow for adjustable placement on the guitar to suit the player's playing style/technique.

There is a trend in guitar design nowadays. Some acoustic guitar manufacturers and luthiers are incorporating what is usually an expensive feature. The armrest, or "soft edge/bevel" in the "BOUT" area of the front/rear of a guitar is a great innovation. But, what if you already have a guitar that you love, and you've tried these out, and really like the feel and improved playability of an armrest, but can't afford or justify buying a new guitar.
The Armadillo Rest solves this dilemma. Made of extremely durable and pliable rubber, it conforms to almost every acoustic guitar/bass giving it the added comfort that a "built-in" armrest attempts to do.
Also, we discovered that a small amount of talcum powder dabbed on the top of the armrest helps glide your arm over the top, making it more comfortable.

Let’s just say that the Armadillo Rest is “Extremely Unbreakable”. The suction cups are themselves very durable, as you can see on the video. But, if for some reason you begin to experience the loss of suction due to a cut, tear, or scratches, we've included a pair of extra suction cups with your order for that reason.

We would love for you to purchase an armrest for each of your acoustic guitars/bass. Ultimately, we feel that if you decide to purchase one Armadillo armrest, you are going to like it so much, and get so used to it being on that particular instrument, and its' placement, that you’ll want
to get one for each instrument

You can (usually) keep the Armadillo Rest attached to the guitar, and still place the guitar in its case.
The ability to not have to remove the Armadillo Rest from your instrument just to put it in its case, is a huge feature. A number of the other armrests made today require you to remove them to place the guitar in its case. What a pain.

This especially applies to guitars that don't have a smooth glossy finish, or the grain of the wood is coming through.

First, as we said that they are being made in USA. But at this time they are being made in small quantities, so that there are minor variations from one armrest to another. Nothing to be concerned about. Just think of them as hand made.
